THE AUDIENCE
600 - 700 + attendees from a variety of backgrounds, academic disciplines, working in hospitals, universities, corporations, foundations, and government agencies across the globe. Our audience will include senior researchers, educators, clinicians, managers, policy makers, practicing clinicians, cognition scientists, safety officers and risk managers, informatics professionals, clinical and basic investigators, educators, and trainees.
SMDM's Annual Meetings provide a highly interactive forum for discussion of novel research based on decision and behavior theory and analytical models applied to health related decisions. Presentations of original research, keynote talks, special symposia and short courses will offer attendees the opportunity to explore diverse topics in medical decision making.
DEM's Conference ultimate goal is to improve patient safety by reducing the likelihood of diagnostic error in medicine. Minimizing diagnostic error is an essential component of safe patient care, and towards this end the conference activities are organized to summarize the current state of the field, review active research, and consider emerging educational and research themes that should be implemented to minimize diagnostic error.
Exhibit Hours are targeted during
breakfast, coffee breaks and the extended 1 ½ hour lunches..
