The theme focuses on presenting current state-of-art health information techniques (HIT) aimed at improving the delivery of health care services. In addition, the meeting will host several symposia which will enable attendees to gain an in depth understanding of the methods needed to develop and implement innovative HIT interventions.
Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the international leaders in HIT and be exposed to the latest research methods and medical decision making.

| Important Note Regarding the 2012 Annual Meeting: |
This will impact your travel plans and hotel sleeping room availability. We are encouraging SMDM Attendees to book their hotel and travel as soon as possible. The 2012 SMDM Annual Meeting dates, October 17-20, 2012, will overlap with the last day of INFORMS annual conference which will take place October 14-17, 2012. As you know many airlines have reduced the number of flights so seats will fill up fast! If you book your hotel room now and need to cancel, you will not be penalized as long as you cancel 72 hours prior to your arrival. Please book early to get the best flight times, hotel rooms, and prices!
