Call for Short Courses
The Society for Medical Decision Making is soliciting proposals for short courses on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Courses can be either half-day or full day.
The call for short courses is now closed.
Please check the SMDM website each year after January 1st to submit short course abstracts for the annual meeting.
What are Short Courses?
The short courses are really a great opportunity to learn something new from leaders in the field. Whether you're new to the field of medical decision making and attending your first meeting, or one of our Emeriti members, there is a short course for you. It is always a great way to start the meeting and to broaden your knowledge base.
In the past we have offered as many as 5 full day courses, 5 to 8 AM courses and 5 to 8 PM courses.
- What short courses do you want to see at the 2009 meeting?
- How many are generally offered at the annual meeting?
- Are there courses we're not teaching at SMDM that we should?
- Are there courses you have taken (or heard of ) that you'd recommend SMDM teach again?
- Are there courses you are interested in teaching?
Here are some of the details we will need:
Background: Provide a brief background on the skills taught in this course and how they are used.
Course Description and Objectives: Provide a brief description of the course, and describe, in bulleted format, the objectives of the course.
Format and Requirements: Describe the format of the class and include any prerequisites for participation, especially for intermediate and advanced level courses.
Course Type: Full Day or Half Day
Course size limit (if any):
