- Email Scott LaJoie telling him about your areas of interest.
- Become a member.
- Come to our annual meeting and attend a meeting of the Committee or Interest Group you would like to join.
- Read the SMDM newsletter
- Submit an article to the SMDM newsletter (contact Tanya Bentley)
- Are you going to a conference that might be of interest to potential Society for Medical Decision Making members? Then please consider being an “Ambassador” for SMDM. The SMDM Administrative Office will send you (or send to the conference site) materials that describe the benefits of SMDM membership, upcoming annual meetings, calls for abstracts and other useful materials. Such meetings might include: Society for General Internal Medicine, Society for Judgment and Decision Making, Academy Health, American Society of Health Economists, Health Technology Assessment International, Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, etc. Please contact Jill Metcalf jill.metcalf@smdm.org or Marie Cortsen info@smdm.org for details.

- Sign up to review
for the MDM Journal.
- Submit an article to the MDM Journal.
- Sign
up to receive the Table of Contents from new issues
of MDM.
- Submit an abstract to the next SMDM annual meeting. Call for Abstracts announced in February of each year.
- Submit a proposal for a new Short Course for next
year's Annual Meeting. Call for Short Courses is announced in February each year.
- Join the SMDM listserv
distribution list.
- Tell a board member your
ideas!
